Hakomi - Psychotherapy

A space for self-discovery, integration, and unfolding

And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.

Hakomi is a respectful yet powerful psychotherapeutic approach that fosters holistic well-being and personal growth through mindfulness and body-centered interventions.

This approach supports the natural development that wants to unfold from within. With care, we explore what may be in the way—and what is needed for new experiences to emerge.

By experiencing new possibilities in the present moment and sensing them in the body, change can be deeply integrated and sustainably anchored in everyday life.

This is for you if you...

  • want to transform deeply rooted behavioral or emotional patterns

  • sense bodily patterns that words alone cannot shift

  • wish to include unconscious and non-verbal dimensions

  • feel stuck in traditional talk therapy and want to explore change in a new way

  • are looking to experience growth also as a form of inner or spiritual development

  • long for a more present, compassionate relationship with yourself and others

The wounds of the past can be healed by touching them with mindfulness in the present moment.

Each session unfolds in its own way as we attune to what is alive within you in the moment. There are some core elements you will often encounter:

We’ll go on an explorative journey together. I may offer small experiments—such as a sentence, a metaphor, or a movement—to help access underlying unconscious patterns or beliefs.

At times, I’ll invite you to slow down, turn your attention inward, and observe your present experience with openness and curiosity—such as bodily sensations, emotions, inner images, impulses, or thoughts.

I hold space for your inner process, allowing it to unfold organically, and support you in integrating your insights and bringing them into your everyday life.

What you can expect in a Hakomi session

By bringing awareness to your embodied present-moment experience, unconscious patterns of behavior and thinking—and the beliefs underlying them—gradually become visible.

Some of these, while originally developed for good reasons, may now be outdated and no longer helpful. When they are brought into awareness and given space to be felt and acknowledged, change becomes possible:

Convictions formed early in life can be expanded.

What once felt like dead ends can open into new possibilities.

Long-held emotions and somatic patterns can begin to release.

Life energy can flow more freely again.

Rejected or disowned inner parts can be seen and integrated in a new way.

What is no longer needed can be released in peace.

About the approach

The sessions feel deeply nourishing, and I often leave with a strong sense of integration.

I’m able to slow down, connect with my own rhythm, and gently explore my inner world. There is a growing sense of safety that allows me to open up and feel truly understood.

During the sessions, I can see more clearly the different dynamics at play within me, without feeling pushed or rushed into old patterns. This creates space for new insights to emerge and for emotions to be felt and processed that I wasn’t aware of before.

I notice that I’m becoming more present with myself and more able to hold the different parts within me, without needing to force change in any particular direction.

Overall, the experience feels warm, supportive, and deeply compassionate.
